Restructured Limited ("Restructured", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles contained within it.

Restructured is a New Zealand company providing HR restructuring software to New Zealand employers. Our platform helps organisations manage employment restructuring processes in compliance with the Employment Relations Act 2000.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Account information: Name, email address, job title, and organisation name when you register or use our platform.
- Employee data you upload: Information about your employees that you enter into the platform as part of running a restructuring process (e.g., names, roles, employment type, salary). This data is provided by you and controlled by you.
- Usage data: Log data, browser type, IP address, and how you use the platform, for security and to improve our service.
- Communications: Records of support requests or emails you send us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide and operate the Restructured platform
- Authenticate your account and maintain security
- Respond to support enquiries
- Send service-related notifications (e.g., password resets)
- Improve and develop our product based on usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use employee data you upload for any purpose other than providing the platform to you.

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia and/or New Zealand. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted data at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
While we take reasonable precautions, no internet-based service is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery). These providers are required to handle information securely and only for the purposes we specify.
We may disclose information if required by New Zealand law, a court order, or to protect the rights and safety of individuals.
6. Employee Data — Your Responsibilities
When you use Restructured to manage a restructuring process, you are acting as the data controller for the personal information of your employees that you enter into the platform. You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have lawful grounds to collect and process employee personal information
- Complying with your obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 toward those employees
- Providing appropriate notice to employees about how their information is used
7. Retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 7 years after closure (for legal compliance). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Complain to the Privacy Commissioner if you believe we have breached the Act

9. Cookies
The Restructured platform uses essential cookies for authentication (httpOnly session cookies). Our marketing website uses no third-party tracking cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of Restructured after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
